IELTS (International English Language Testing System) was the first test recognized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). If you intend to study, work, or settle in Canada, you must take a language test to demonstrate your command of the English language. Whether you’re looking for a work visa, professional registration, or permanent residency in Canada, the IELTS General Training test may be sufficient to meet the requirements of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
