Under the Global Talent Stream (GTS), there are certain work permit exemptions applicable to high-skilled workers and professionals. It also includes certain category of persons looking to come to Canada on research purposes.
Under the Global Talent Stream (GTS), employers who falls under Category A and Category B of the stream can now hire certain persons without the need to have a work permit to come to Canada. However, there are certain conditions to be complied.

High-Skilled Workers
High-Skilled workers who fall under skill level 0 (managerial occupations) of the NOC can now come to Canada for work for 15 days within a 6 months period, OR 30 days in a year (12 months), without needing to have a work permit.
Similarly, high-Skilled workers who fall under skill level A (professional occupations) of the NOC can now come to Canada for work for 15 days within a 6 months period, OR 30 days in a year (12 months), without needing to have a work permit.
Researchers
Researchers engaged in research projects can now come to Canada for 120 days (4 months) in an year (12 months), without needing to have a work permit, provided the research project is at:
