Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot | Community of Sudbury in Ontario opens application for Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot

Application procedure for the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot has started for the Sudbury community in Ontario.

The north-eastern city of Ontario will only be targeting the supply and services of mining and tourism sectors initially. Later, applications from candidates already living in Sudbury working in all sectors will be accepted.

Officials have released a list of 20 in demand occupations through the RNIP.

The community has also launched a pilot website along with eight other communities.

The other participating communities available are Timmins, Sault Ste.Marie and Thunder Bay in Ontario, Claresholm in Alberta, Brandon and Altona / Rhineland, Manitoba, and Vernon in British Columbia.

Job-Offer Requirements

  • The job you are offered must be consistent and regularly scheduled paid employment of at least 30 paid hours per week and 1,560 hours a year.
  • The pay shall equate with the salary that prevails for the work offered.

 

Employer Requirements

The employer must:

  • Be Sudbury based or within a commutable circle.
  • must be active in the Sudbury business sector at least a year.
  • Satisfy officials that efforts have been made with a local candidate to fill this vacancy.
